She pulled her face a way slightly from my neck, but only enough so I could understand her speaking.

“I just... I am having such a great night. I wanted to let you know.” She explained.

“Well, I love the way you say thank you.” I say in a deep gruff voice into her ear.

I felt her shiver in my arms.

“Maybe we can try this more.” I breathe into her neck, leaving a kiss.

“But now I think we should probably eat.” I smirk when I hear a groan.

“I am pretty hungry, now I think about it.” She pulls away, but stays on my lap.

I laugh. “I’m glad. I could do with some food too. It’s a good thing I packed lots.”

Hope looked at me in the eyes and said in a knowing voice “You?”

I grin “Ok maybe not me...”

  “Let me guess Lanie?”

“Yes. In my defense I was going to do it but my mom said she didn’t want you going down with food poisoning and she threw me out of the kitchen.” Hope laughed at what I said.

I took one of my arms from around her and pulled the basket closer.

I opened the lid and pulled out a couple cans of soda.

I know not very romantic, but what could I do.

I could hardly put a bottle of wine or something else in, because my mom would have killed me for two reasons.

One, she thinks I don’t drink, well I don’t do much, and

Two, Hope is still not old enough to drink.

“For you Honey.” I pass Hope a can.

She giggles whilst opening it and takes a drink. “Thank you kind sir.”

I raise an eyebrow “Sir is it?”

She nods “Yes. After all you are my senior.” She teases.

I place my can on the ground “Oh I am?” I look her up and down.

“So that means you have to do everything I say. Correct?” I say licking my lips.

She copies my actions and places her can down on the ground and then moves one of her hands up to her face and taps her chin, as if thinking.

“I suppose. What did you have in mind?”

I replace her hand on her face with my own and run my index finger along her lower lip.

“I have a few ideas.” I say, looking at her lips.

“Yes Sir?” She moves in closer, also looking at my lips.

I lean closer to catch her lips.

I cup her face and go to kiss her, but I am surprised when her tongue greets me.

I didn’t pull away as she ran her tongue upwards on my lips and licked my lips.

She pulled away and laughed. “That is for not giving me a kiss earlier in the car.” She said like a child who just got their own back.

I looked her straight in the face and still cupping her face, “I think your plan kind of failed”

She looks at me as if to say, ‘What do you mean?’

“I actually quite liked it.” I smirk as I watch her mouth fall open.

“It actually was a bit of a turn on.” I wink at her, making her blush and try to move from my lap.

I laugh and turn her back to me.

  “I’m sorry.”

She looks up into my face and hits the top of my arm.

“You are a weirdo. You know?!” She grinned.

“I know, but I can’t help it if you’re hot without even trying.” I reply honestly.

She blushes and I kiss her cheek and apologise for embarrassing her.

“It’s OK. I’m just not used to all the attention. Well at least not from you.” Her voice was low, almost a whisper.

“Well Honey, now you have agreed to be my girlfriend, you will never be able to get rid of me.” I kiss her again, this time on her forehead.

What can I say I love kissing Hope.

She smirks and stands up in front of me “When did this happen?”

I stand up with the same smirk on my face “When you kissed me the first time and then later agree that we were a couple the deal was sealed. Now you are mine.” I say it in a somewhat playful tone.

I take a step close and place my hands on her hips.

“Well...” She also moved closer and put her arms around my neck “It’s a good thing I like you then isn’t it?” She places a single, long, sweet, lingering kiss on my lips and pulls away.

We both laugh when we hear her stomach growl.

I let go of her and kneel down and go into the basket and pull out all of the food that was packed.

I pat the blanket and motion for her to sit down next to me.

We spent the next half an hour feeding our faces until everything was gone.

“Oh Jesus. I can’t believe we finished it.” I say, placing the empty container back in the basket.

“I know. I feel so sickly full now.” I watched Hope lay back and rest her hands on her stomach.

When I had finished tidying up, I laid down next to Hope.

I rolled on my side, so I was facing her and propped myself up on my elbow.

“What you doing tomorrow?” I ask her, breaking the silence.

  “Um, not sure why?”

“I wanted to hang out tomorrow, if that is alright with you?”

“Yes, I would love that. But the others will probably be where ever we go too.” She turned her head and looked at me to ask if that was ok.

“That’s ok. At least if we are both together, we can both answer any questions together and not have to repeat ourselves ten times. Plus they will have to get used to it anyway, because now we are dating so we will be spending lots more time together.” I stopped and thought for a second what I said.

“I didn’t mean to come on too strong. Tell me if you think I am going too fast and I will slow down.” I said in a worried tone.

“I am happy how we are now. Don’t worry, I will tell you if I feel we’re rushing.” She rolls on her side.

“Lay on your back.” She orders me.

I raise my eyebrow and ask, “Why?”

“Because I want to use your chest as a pillow.” She gives me an innocent smile and I laugh.

I turn and let myself be her pillow.

“I can’t believe I didn’t recognize you yesterday when we returned.” I confess.

I feel her head shake with laughs on my chest.

  “I know. I haven’t changed that much have I?”

“You really haven’t... But then again you have.” I hit my head.

“What I mean I you are still all the good thing I love and remember, but you are more mature and beautiful if that is even possible. Plus you are stronger... I could go on like this forever, but I am not going to.” I smile and kiss the top of her head and felt my eyes close, as I put my head back down.

I must have fallen asleep because the next time I opened my eyes it was dark.

  “Crap.” I mumbled.

I went to sit up, but couldn't because a weigh on my chest.

I looked down and saw Hope asleep with her head still on my chest.

  I couldn’t help but smile.

I managed to move her and stand up without waking her.

Picking up the basket, I walked over to the near by car and placed it back in the trunk.

After that I returned to where Hope was still sleeping.

Bending over, I wrapped the corners of the blanket around her and picked her up and carried her to the car.

Too my surprise she didn’t even stir.

Not even when I opened the car down and placed her inside.

I belted her in, still wrapped in the blanket.

  I couldn’t help but laugh.

  She looked so cute.

I double-checked to make sure I hadn’t left anything behind and then returned to the car.

I started the car and looked at Hope, who had still not moved.

Call me crazy, but I was starting to worry.

I loosened my belt and leaned over, checking her pulse.

I internally thanked god when I felt her pulse and kissed her head, before ret
urning back to my seat and beginning to drive the fair distance home.

  Sometime later...

I have been driving for a while now and Hope is still asleep or at least I thought she was.

I look out of the corner of my eye for the millionth time tonight to check Hope is ok and notice this time her eyes are open.

I look at her and smile, but quickly turn back to the road, not wanting to kill us both.

  “Hey sleepy head”

“Hey...How did I get in here?” She said sound half asleep.

“I put you in here.” I grin.

“Ok... but can you explain why I am wrapped in the blanket like a baby?”

I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. I never noticed that before, but now she mentions it...

I notice a glared look from Hope, so I decide to answer her.

“Well you are my baby. So...” I try to sound innocent.

Hope rolls her eyes, but smiles.

“Still a pain in the backside I see.”

I hear her mumble and curse as she tries to free herself but the blanked is wrapped too tight around her.

“I am sorry. I really didn’t mean to trap you baby. I just wanted to make sure you weren’t cold.” I tell her truthfully, but try not to laugh at her annoyed expression.

“Not too long and we will be back and I'll help you out baby.”

“Will you please stop calling me baby?!” She growled.

I laugh and continue to drive until we reach her house.

I look at the clock and noticed we were back in time, so Ricky wouldn’t kill me this time at least.

I first got myself out of the car, before going to help Hope.

I helped her out and then unwrapped her.

“Thank you. I can feel my arms now.” She shakes her arms as if to help the blood return.

I frown and give her a sorry smile.

She sighs and pulls her eyes.

“Even though you are a weirdo with a licking and baby role play fetish, I still had a great night and can’t wait to go out again sometime.”

“Me too and I promise no babying next time... properly.” I say the last part lowly and grin.

I know she heard me, but she doesn’t say anything.

“So we still on for tomorrow?” I ask.

  She nods.

“We will speak in the morning and decide whose house.” I tell her and she agrees.

“I almost forgot. I don’t have your number. Can you type it in please?” She asks pulling out her phone from her bag.

I take it and type my number in.

“Here you go.” I said handing her it back.

She looks at me question. “Don’t you want my number?”

I gave her a guilty look. “No need, I got it from Heather yesterday.” I admit.

“Oh you did, did you?” She smiles and stops to think.

  “What is it?”

“I was just wondering, you didn’t happen to text me last night did you?”

  “No why do you ask?”

“Oh I just got a text from an unknown number. I guess it was probably a wrong number or something.” She replied trying to brush it off.

I looked at her with concern “You sure?”

She smiles happy to see I care. “Yes, now don’t worry.”

We both embrace and kissed before pulling apart.

“I should really go in now. I can feel Ricky’s eye burning into me through the window.”

I laugh and give her one last kiss after walking her to her front door.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Honey.” I say as I walk away leaving her to go into her house.

“Text me to let me know you got home alright.” I order.

  “Yes ma’am.”

She gives me one last smile before going inside and I get into my car and drive away.

  Hope

I arrived home and went inside.

It was getting late and despite the fact that I fell asleep, I was exhausted.

I was met at the bottom of the stairs by Ricky.

“Hello Hop. Good night?” He asked hoping for the run down.

I smile and reply, “Hi, yes it was great. I’ll tell you about it tomorrow though, because I am too tired now. I’m off to bed.”

“Ok Hop, I’ll see you in the morning. Kira and Robbie are already in bed, so keep it down. Good night.”

I hug him and tell him good night before heading up to my room.

I walked inside my room without looking up.

Turning the light on, I kicked off my shoes and dropped my clutch bag and jacket on a chair to my side.

I look up and am about to walk to my bathroom for a quick shower, when I notice Dean standing over by my window looking at me.

“Dean?” I ask confused. “What are you doing here?” I walk a little closer.

He smiled at the mention of his name.

“Hiya Hope, I’m glad you are back.”

  I nod slowly.

“But what are you doing here?” I ask again hoping for a different response.

“I know about Nathan.” He says.

I suddenly realize he is probably just upset to hear about me dating his older brother.

“Oh yeah that... I’m sorry about that Dean...” I start to say but I am cut off.

“Don’t apologize. I know it wasn’t your fault.” He moves closer and puts a hand on my shoulder.

“I will help you.” He tells me and then pulls me into a hug and kisses the top of my head.

I push him away. “Dean, you shouldn’t do that. I am sorry for leading you on but I am dating your brother.” I try to explain.

He sends me an annoyed look and hurries over to the window.

But stops and turns back to me. “I know you want me. I just got to stop Nathan brainwashing you first.” And then he leaves via the window and runs home.

I hurry to lock the window, so he can’t get back in.

‘What the hell is wrong with him? Did I really lead him on that much?’ I thought to myself.

I went for a shower, before heading to bed.

But I couldn’t sleep, worried about what happened with Dean and whether I should tell someone or not...

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

  Worries

  Hope

I didn't sleep much at all last night.

My brain couldn't shut off; all I could think about was Dean.

After two hours of trying I gave up and decided to go on my laptop and email friends from my old school to invite them to my birthday party in a couple of weeks.

Eventually I decide to go back to bed and try to fall asleep again.

I managed to get a few hours before I was awoken in the morning.

"Wakey-wakey eggs and bakey" The annoying voice sang as I was shaken from my sleep.

“Go away.” I growled and ducked under my covers.

The person laughed and continued to shake me awake.

“Come on its midday already. Get your lazy butt out of there.”

I uncover my head and pried my eyes open.

I search my side table for my phone and notice several missed calls and texts not to mention the time.

  “Oh crap.”

I looked up and saw Ricky grinning at me.

I frowned before exclaiming, “Why didn’t you wake me up before?!”

He gave me a sad look for a second but then changed to serious. “Well I heard you most of the night tapping about, so I guessed you didn’t sleep much. So I let you sleep in.” He told me honestly.

“Awww thank you, that was pretty sweet of you. I didn’t know you cared.” I teased, but meant the first part.
